In early June, I had the great privilege of being a part of the annual Jewish Book Council Author Tour event held in Manhattan at the Hebrew Theological Union building on the NYC campus. It was an amazing session where writers had a two minute “speed dating” opportunity to present their books to the audience of
representatives from JCC’s, Book Fairs, Hadassah’s, ORT’s, synagogues, etc.
from across the U.S. and Canada. I was thrilled to meet and bond with so many impressive individuals, as I presented Pictures of the Past. Seated
alphabetically, to my left was Delia Ephron – yes, Nora’s sister, and one of
the writers of You’ve Got Mail – and next to her was Deborah Feldman, whose book, Unorthodox, I had just presented at my Book Club. And – I am so
delighted to say – I received word that I am being flown (so far) to 5 venues
for presentations in Tampa, Palm Beach, and Baltimore.
